Personality is a known figure known to exist in human beings. It is the various aspects of a person’s character that combine to make him different from other people, that is, to bring out his uniqueness in an exquisite way.
‘’The truth of the matter is that there is nothing you can’t accomplish if:
1- You clearly decide what it is that you are absolutely committed to achieving.
2- You are willing to take massive action.
3- You notice what is working or not working.
4- You continue to change your approach until you achieve what you want, using whatever life gives you along the way’’. ----Anthony Robbins. You may have noticed that what you‘ve been seeing in that quote has been ‘’you’’. And I was wondering if that made any sense with respect to the question ’’Who is in charge?’’ You are in charge. You can say it aloud to your own hearing. ‘’ I am in charge’’. It will make you believe so, no matter what your previous views were. There is only one you, you and that is you. I believe that you’ve come to note who is in charge.
Now, the question boils down to some other thing. The person in charge, is he capable of being in charge?
Capability is what every one possesses in his or her own different way. What we need is the kind of capability that controls your whole person (personality), not part of your personality.
Every human being has personal likes and dislikes. This gives you power to be in charge. But your likes and dislikes are they what they are meant to be? Your likes should lead to your needs and not your wants. Your dislikes should give you your wants not your needs. Want means to have the desire or wish for something. Wishes are mere dreams, they may not come true, and it does not portray reality. It leaves you in the dark, always thinking that you’ve got what you don’t really have. Its value is that it gives you a pleasing nature of life, which you don’t possess as at that moment. It adorns you with fantasies making you a staunch fantasizer.
Need is requiring something or somebody because they are essential or very important, not just because you would like or want to have them. It bares reality to your face for you to glance at, and know the next move to make.
Your capability to be in charge depends on your ability to stand for the real meaning of your likes and dislikes. Not compromising one of them for the other unnecessarily, maybe because you are being or have been influenced by a force that you think is better off than yourself.
Once the fact that you are in charge and capable is placed before you. You are destined to be the ‘’ sole controller of your personality’’. And believe you me if your personality was once a dwindling type, it will improve and become a soaring type, which I believe must have been your dream. Then and only then, you have a dream come true (become reality).
